St. Jude Children's Research Hospital

Why St. Jude?

Lambda Theta Alpha Latin Sorority, Inc. is an organization that prides itself in serving the community. In efforts to make a larger impact nationally, LTA chose St. Jude Children's Research Hospital as its philanthropy. In January of 2010, LTA became an official collegiate partner to St. Jude and became the first individual Latino Greek organization to commit fully to the hospital's efforts. With this partnership, LTA provides its resources of community service and activism, as well as awareness in the Latinx community, for St. Jude. LTA has pledged to continue raising awareness about St. Jude through various programs and events which also act as fundraisers to gather donations for the hospital.

What's Gamma Nu's Role?

Gamma Nu actively promotes awareness regarding St. Jude on campus through various events and programs. Fundraisers are held in order to raise money for the hospital; for example, during Emory's weekly "Wonderful Wednesday" event, Gamma Nu sells refreshments/snacks as well as hosts "Pie an LTA" to raise money. Gamma Nu also hosts an annual St. Jude Gala, where profits made from ticket sales are donated to the hospital.

How Can I Get Involved?
